Remove Antivirus Soft

Posted by malwareremoval on January 31, 2010

Antivirus Soft is the latest creation of the same hackers produced Antivirus Live. The main feature that is identical for all of these badware is being promoted by Trojan that sneaks into your PC pretending to be necessary files for online system scanning. Besides this, Antivirus Soft like many other rogue antispyware applications uses the strategy of fake system scans. This means that everything that this badware displays during and after system scan is absolutely trustless. All those files Antivirus Soft determines as infection are indeed made up by the badware itself, but some of them are actually legitimate Windows files. So, be very attentive and do not begin to remove these files right after you have received your system scan results. Antivirus Soft is immoderate in tricking techniques. It will also block your Task Manager, so that makes it almost impossible to stop all rogue antispyware program’s actions. Moreover, it will attempt to hijack your Internet browser that will give Antivirus Soft opportunity to control your traffic and deny an access to those web pages that operates with programs that are able to detect and remove Antivirus Soft. What is more, Antivirus Soft is going to flood countless bogus notification stating about low level of your computer security, or that some active threats have been found and it requires running another system scan. Please note that all such annoying pop-ups, as well as system scan results are nothing more but scam, so it should not be trusted. Also, it has been highly recommended to get rid of Antivirus Soft as soon as possible SpywareDoctor + antivirus, otherwise it may lead to unpredictable consequences.

I have this infection “Antivirus Soft” on my other computer.

Need to kill it, but when I download the SpywareDoctor I get an efw file that I can not use. I think comes from the CA security software that I have on this computer. I may need to turn off my protection to get the fix, which scares me. Is there another way to get the file so that CA will not change the extension?

What should I do once antivirus soft has already hijacked my system? Do I allow it to scan and then try to remove it? I cannot open any programs. I cannot use my D drive. What should I do?

    Thanks Sandra

What does that last post mean? I don’t know enough to understand, but know too much to be dangerous. Can you post a step by step fix process for us ‘simple folk’? Would really appreceiate it.
